CAASPP Testing 2019

CAASPP Testing will occur over the weeks of April 15-May 3. Testing will be done during English and math class time and a special schedule will not take place. Furthermore, April 17th and April 24th will be late start days and 12th graders will be required to come to school to take the California Science Test and 9th grade athletes will be required to come to school to take the Physical Fitness Test. Those tests will go from 7:45 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.

Seniors: Enrolling into COC and the First Year Promise

Seniors who participate in CAP will be supported as they complete the new student steps and transition to COC, and will also earn an early registration date for fall and be ready to apply to First-Year Promise Program when it opens on April 1.

Senior Graduation Participation Agreement

The Senior Graduation Participation Agreement will be distributed to Seniors on 4/16 and 4/17 in their Economics/American Government classes. For those students not in these classes, please have them see Mrs. Trudeau in the Principal's office to pick one up. Students will need to bring these signed agreements on Friday, May 31st to the Senior Meeting in order to receive their Cap, Gown, and Graduation Tickets.

Senior Activity Booklet

These booklets will be distributed on Thursday, 3/28/19 to all Seniors in their Economics or Government classes. If students do not have one of these classes, please see Mrs. Trudeau in the Principal's Office. Students will be notified on the Daily Bulletin and Hart TV.

Academic Decathlon Nets Winning Results!

Our team of Ben Arriaga, Kyle Bailey, Joe Brennan, Debleena Chatterjee, Mathew D'Anna, Dan Gajewski, Liah Perez and Marissa Trujillo received 26 medals, with each member receiving at least one! Hart was 12th out of 39 schools in Southern California, great job!

Library Nights are back!

If you are in need of extra support in your classes, come to the Library on Tuesday or Thursday nights from 3-4pm or from 6-8pm. All subjects are available to get extra assistance from teachers and a bilingual instructional assistant. Spring semester library nights begin on Feb. 5th!

Every 15 Minutes

Next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 12th and 13th, we will be holding the “Every 15 Minutes program” on campus. The “Every 15 Minutes” program is presented by local law enforcement agencies in partnership with the city of Santa Clarita and is designed to raise awareness about the consequences of drinking and driving, reckless driving, and texting and driving. Several student program participants will simulate being victims of a tragic incident and there will be a simulated collision scene in front of the school on Tuesday, March 12th, during 5th period. There will also be an assembly on Wednesday during 4th and 5th periods. This program takes place on campus every two years and Juniors and Seniors only will attend the crash scene and assembly. Additional counseling through the counseling office will be available to students who may need additional support during these two days.
