Summer Work Permits

The district has updated their website to show directions for summer work permits.  The link is HERE.  Unless otherwise arranged and indicated on the website, the district office will issue work permits from June 7 - August 9th.  After that date, the responsibility will go back to the school site.  Please view the district website and the process they have outlined.  For your information, the process for a student to obtain a summer work permit is below.  
1.  Secure employment.  Each work permit is specific to the job.  If a student gets another job, they will have to get a new work permit.  
2.  Fill out the Statement of Intent to Employ a Minor (B1-1) attached below.  The form requires the signature of the employer and the parent.
3.  Email workpermit@hartdistrict.org to get an appointment.  
All requests will be by appointment only.  
Entertainment Industry work permits will stay at the school site.  The registrar will certify grades and attendance and then the form is processed by the Labor Commissioner's Office.  This is the continuation of the same process and stays the same throughout the school year.
