The approach to mathematics that you see your kids working with may look unfamiliar compared to the algorithmic approach taught in years past. These days math is learned in a more conceptual way before moving on to compute more quickly. Please, take some time to watch this video for a greater understanding of the reasons that the math your kids are doing may look different than what you are used to.
